Patrick Tansey was born and bred in Dublin; a city noted for its light-hearted approach to the serious side of life.

During the 70's and 80's Patrick appeared in cities all over the UK. His standing in the world of comedy was acknowledged when in 1985, he received the prestigious award, `Comedian of the Year' presented to him by TV producer Bill Hetterly. Numerous TV appearances on Granada's `The Comedians' led to international work on board luxury cruise liners, including eight successive world cruises on Royal Viking Line, as well as bookings on Princess Cruises, Royal Cruise Line, Cunard and Holland America Line. It has been estimated that he has entertained approximately one and half million people to date!

For six years Patrick was employed by the BBC to perform the studio audience warm up slot for shows such as Blankety Blank, Paul Daniel's Magic Show, Every Second Counts, Wogan, Today's the Day and Birds of a Feather.

In 1993 Patrick turned his talents to the corporate world. His ability to win over a discerning audience to his philosophy that `it's possible to become a better person when you smile a little more and grimace a little less', has led to fabulous reviews. He is both marvellously entertaining and thought provoking. His strict adherence to using only squeaky clean material has meant that over the years Patrick Tansey has enjoyed an excellent reputation.
