David Vickery graduated with a BA Honours degree in Film and Drama from Bulmershe College in Reading – now a part of Reading University. Convinced of his acting talents he joined the post graduate course of the Welsh College of Music and Drama which he completed with distinction. David is a talented corporate speaker, event host and after dinner speaker.

A brief career in theatre led him to television and a sustained career in the presentation departments of most major UK broadcasters including Channel Four, Discovery Channel, BBC World Service TV and Channel Five, which he opened.

Television from behind the microphone quickly turned into front of camera work, TVS’s LATE NIGHT LATE is fondly remembered by anorak archivists on the net - a google search will take you there! Additionally for TVS, David hosted TVS NEWS and the Arts/Entertainment programme THIS WAY OUT. Another moment to reflect on is co-presenting Channel Five’s ESPRESSO with Edwina Currie. But then again….

Most recently David has produced, directed and presented Business profiles broadcast on Euronews, Star TV and the History Channel (US) and made through the offices of London International Television. This has facilitated talking to business leaders the world over, shooting in diverse locations including The Pentagon (inside) and The Kremlin (outside).

Additional highlights from 2003 include; providing the documentary voice-over for INFAMOUS MURDERS, the History Channel’s most successful strand ever and PIONEERS OF FLIGHT Discovery Wings Channels’ illuminating series of short films, presenting internal communications for QinetiQ 1’s launch (CLEVER MEDIA) and being Awards Presenter for the IVCA biz-nets.

David’s theatrical past still pays dividends today. He loves live presenting, moderating conferences or hosting corporate events. The skills of live presenting are transferable; David is very happy to tutor on a one to one or group basis. Whilst always pleased to play it straight, David is happily ironic, post ironic or even vaguely comedic. Some call it “charm”.
