Henry Porter is a renowned writer and journalist specialising in liberty and civil rights.
He is the UK editor of Vanity Fair, a role he first took up in 1992. Prior to that, he was the executive editor of The Independent on Sunday. Throughout his career, he held a number of positions in journalism in publications such as The Observer, The Sunday Times, The Hive and more.
He is also an award-winning thriller novelist. He has written six novels and a children’s book. His thriller about the Fall of the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg, was awarded the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger for the Best Thriller.
Henry co-founded The Convention on Modern Liberty which hosted over 100 speakers.
