Jermaine is one of the UK’s most recognisable Premier League and England footballers, and successful football pundit.

He started his football career at his hometown club Nottingham Forrest; making his senior debut in 2000. His performances and undoubted potential earned him a £5million move to Newcastle United as an 18 year old in 2002. He spent three seasons at St. James’ Park, during which he won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award in 2003, before securing a £7million transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in 2005. While at Tottenham, Jermaine played an integral role in the side that won the Carling Cup in 2008, and in the same year was named as the club’s new vice-captain.

Following a loan spell at Aston Villa, and a brief return to Nottingham Forest, again on loan, whilst still under contract at Tottenham, Jermaine signed for Queens Park Rangers under former manager Harry Redknapp, in January 2013.

A full England International since 2003, Jermaine represented his country on 21 occasions including as a part of the 2006 World Cup Squad, and scored the first England goal of Fabio Capello’s tenure as manager, in a 2-1 victory over Switzerland at Wembley Stadium.

Outside of football, Jermaine co- founded Aquinas Education and Aquinas Foundation. Aquinas is the UK’s fastest growing recruitment agency, specialising in security cleared and teaching jobs working with schools and playgroups. The Aquinas Foundation has a variety of programmes for schools to help tackle areas of concern such as truancy, punctuality and youth crime. Education is a huge passion and priority for Jermaine.

After making a successful start to his punditry career in December 2014 Jermaine signed a 2 year deal with the BBC Sport punditry team to feature on TV, radio and online. Jermaine regularly appears on Match of the Day, Football Focus, Final Score and BBC Radio 5 Live offering fresh insight, analysis and expertise. Jermaine also recently worked with BBC I Wonder on a piece of online content to look at the role football played in WW1.

In addition to his work with the BBC, Jermaine works with Premier League Productions and BT Sport. Jermaine visited Malaysia in October 2015 to work with Astro Supersport, an in house satellite television network dedicated to broadcasting sports-related content 24 hours a day. Jermaine also joined the Bet4theBest team as a brand ambassador revealing his Premier League fantasy eleven.

In print, Jermaine writes an exclusive weekly column for Yahoo! Sport giving his opinion on the game which is regularly picked up by other publications and shared extensively on social media due to its articulate and thoughtful content.

In March 2015 Jermaine appeared in Ch4’s “Time Crashers”, an immersive history series hosted by history aficionado Tony Robinson. Ten celebrities crashed through time to live and work as ordinary people in six different eras of British history.

Jermaine and his wife featured on series 7 of All Star Mr & Mrs in October 2015 winning £30,000 for their chosen charity. In the same year Jermaine also appeared on Pointless Celebrities FA Special and A Question of Sport.

Jermaine lives in North London with his wife Ellie and daughter Geneva.
