Kruger Cowne Makes Fast To Secure A Book Deal for WIRED Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief David Rowan

We are delighted to have sold the world rights to David Rowan’s book, ‘THE DISRUPTORS: An Ex Wired Editor’s Quest for Non-Bullshit Innovation’, which Bantam Press will publish in May 2019.

 

Within 2-weeks of receiving the proposal from David the contracts had been signed with major publisher Transworld. Adrian Sington, Director of Kruger Cowne says: “In all the years I have been doing this I can’t remember getting from proposal to a signed contract more quickly – especially for such a good deal. Our team and the Transworld team have pulled out all the stops on this one.”

In David’s own words about the book: “I kept finding business leaders struggling to find this mystical thing called ‘innovation’. So I decided to search for the real thing – companies from Australia to Scandinavia that have succeeded in bold transformation. It’s brilliant to partner with Transworld to have these stories of inspiration more widely known.”

At WIRED, David got to know the founders of WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Google, Spotify, Xiaomi, Nest, Twitter and countless other ambitious startups all around the world. The book will outline David’s global quest to identify “visionary leaders who have managed to recalibrate their businesses in radical ways to grow and succeed in the digital age” – and shows where he discovered “genuinely exciting innovation … in places you might not expect”.
