Jackson, Colin (After Dinner Speakers)
Athlete, motivator, team builder

£10,000 - £20,000

Quite simply the greatest athlete in the history of British Athletics, Colin Jackson hung up his spikes in front of a roaring home crowd at the recent World Indoor Championships in Birmingham. Despite missing out on a medal, it was a more than fitting end to the competitive career of the nations favourite sporting personality, having decided to finally retire from the sport he has dominated for so long. Colin is a fascinating motivational and corporate speaker and very enjoyable after dinner speaker.

Current World Indoor, European Indoor and European Outdoor Champion, Colin has been ranked in the world top 10 for the last 16 years, was World No.1 from 1992-1994 and has never been out of the worlds top 3 during the last 7. He is the reigning World Record Holder outdoors (12.91, World Title, Stuttgart 1991) and at 60mh indoors (7.30, Sindelfingen 1994) and since setting a European junior record of 13.44 in 1986, has gone on to set 7 European, 8 Commonwealth and 9 UK records at 110mh.

Colin is one of the most respected and loved of all British sports stars and his down to earth, approachable manner has endeared him to both public and media alike throughout his career and he is renowned as one of Britains most stylish and photographed sportsmen.

Although he will no longer be seen racing on our screens, Colin has several exciting forthcoming projects that will ensure he is a regular face in the public eye both on and off television. Over the next year, Colin will be seen commentating for BBC Sports programmes and, kick starting his broadcasting career off on a fantastic level, Colin will be co-hosting the most exciting BBC reality TV project of this year Born to Win, where he will lead the nations largest search for Britains new sporting talent.

Jackson is also in demand as a motivational speaker. Colin takes a snippet from his long and successful career that epitomises the emotional highs and lows of an intense competitive career. He offers a behind the scenes peak into the life of a world class athlete who entered the sport at 16 and remained at the top until he retired at 32, the changes he experienced and the sacrifices he made during his unprecedented career.
