“It seems unbelievable that women have been graduating from higher education and entering the workplace in similar numbers to men for 20 years, and yet women still make up only around 5% of top leaders in the world today.” What can be done to improve this figure?

This was one of the topics discussed and debated at the hugely successful Kruger Cowne / Times + International Women’s Day Lunch event in London last Friday.

Dozens of the country’s top businesswomen came to see, and meet, the fabulous panel of notable women including: Caroline Rush CBE, Eunice Olumide MBE, Gina Miller, Dame Helena Morrissey, Dr. Merritt Moore, Fatima Bhutto, Ruth Hinks plus many of the Times’ top correspondents and journalists (Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, Christina Lamb, Eleanor Mills and Lorraine Candy). The panel discussed everything from AI & Futurism, Business and the work place, Fashion and Arts, Diversity & inclusion to Chocolate and everything in between. They shared inspirational stories from their own lives and gave case study examples of potential solutions to issues that still, today, continue to face women in the workplace.

“This was probably one of the most inspirational events that I have ever attended” said Amanda Punjab of BNP Paribas. “The ‘glass ceiling’ was truly shattered today”.

Kruger Cowne have partnered with the Times Media group to provide regular workshops, lectures and events to inform, educate and thrill the audiences with insights, performances and stories from their roster of world leading speakers, presenters and talent.

Our next event will be “Sir Bob Geldof in Conservation with Ed Potton” on April 20th 2020 at Union Chapel, 19b Compton Terrace, London N1 2UN. You will be able to hear the musician, songwriter,  businessman, political activist, and author in conversation with Ed Potton, arts commissioning editor to discuss his varied career and his book ‘Tales of Boomtown Glory’.
