David Weir CBE
David Weir, CBE is a 6 time Paralympic Gold medallist with an outstanding record on the track. London 2012 was a fantastic year, winning Gold Medals in the 800m, 1500m, 5000m and the Marathon. In 2014, there was more success on the track when David won Gold in the 1500m at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Christened ‘The Weirwolf of London’ by athletes and fans alike, David’s victories have raised the decibels of appreciation to new levels.
In 2018 David won his eighth London Marathon men’s wheelchair title.
David is an exceptionally gifted athlete and a passionate speaker who talks on a wide range of topics, such as overcoming adversity, peak performance, success and more. Elaborating on his life and the battles he has faced to reach the pinnacle of his sport, David is a truly inspirational individual. He shows that disability is no barrier to success and his intrinsic motivation and drive is extraordinary and admirable.
