Dr. Kitty Yeung
Dr. Kitty Yeung is a physicist, engineer and artist. She is pursuing her mission as the Senior Director of AI at Browzwear, after completing her role as the founder CEO of fashion-tech incubation at Microsoft. She is a recognised Tatler Gen.T Honoree for bringing physics, technology and fashion to a whole new level, impacting Fashion & Beauty, Retail & Ecommerce, Sustainability and Technology. She received her PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University and MSci and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, and worked as a research scientist, hardware engineer, UX designer, senior program manager and senior quantum architect at IBM, Intel and Microsoft. Her AI-fashion interactive art was exhibited at the London Victoria and Albert Museum for the Digital Design Weekend 2023 and was met with overwhelming praise.
With over 15 years of experience in STEM and a lifelong passion for art, Dr. Yeung integrates engineering and design to break the barriers between disciplines, communicates science with art and pushes the state-of-the-art of creative-tech manufacturing and commercialisation. Her pioneering work includes applying generative AI, computer vision, machine learning, computational textiles, solar powering, printed electronics, micro-controllers, edge computing, and robotics, solving the industry’s most pressing manufacturing, retail and environmental challenges.
Her innovative tech-fashion brand, Art by Physicist, champions high-tech fashion creations, sustainable production, and the promotion of STEAM, environmental protection, and intellectual representation of women. The brand has received global acclaim, featured by tech, fashion and art publications, with Dr. Yeung named one of the Top 100 Women in Fashion Tech by Women of Wearables.
Beyond fashion, Dr. Yeung is also known for her intuitive and accessible approach to explaining quantum computing. Her comic book Quantum Computing & Some Physics communicates complex scientific concepts to readers of all backgrounds without losing technical accuracy. The official Microsoft quantum computing education materials she produced were featured in Forbes and she was listed by Quantum Zeitgeist as 20 Influential individuals driving the Quantum Technology Revolution.
