George Clarke is an architect and is Creative Director of architectural practice George Clarke + Partners. He is also a writer, lecturer and TV presenter.
George Clarke + Partners has established a reputation for designing and building high quality, award winning projects throughout the UK and abroad. The company is multidisciplinary and covers all aspects of architecture, design, project management, construction and property development.
George is the presenter of several very successful series for television, including Channel 4’s Restoration Man and Ugly House to Lovely House, Shed of the Year, The Great British Property Scandal, George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces and Old House, New Home.
George is also well known for his presenting on: Property Dreams, Dream Home Abroad, Build a New Life in the Country, The Home Show, The Empty Homes Show, Secret Millions and George Clarkes Rules.
George’s design talent and passion for beautiful buildings has transformed the homes and lives of so many people across Britain. George was born and raised in Sunderland and from the age of 12 wanted to be an architect. After studying architecture at the University of Newcastle and University College London, George started his own practice. In 2011 George set up his new company George Clarke + Partners. George Clarke + Partners is an inspirational, new, multidisciplinary company that covers all aspects of architecture, design, project management, construction and property development. George says: “I [have] always wanted to start a new company that isn’t just about architecture, but also covers all aspects of the design, build and property development business. My new company George Clarke + Partners will allow me to do this, as well as make successful TV programmes.”
Through his innovative new company, TV presenting, lecturing and research, George aims to make architecture popular and accessible to everyone, and to share his passion for architecture’s ability to transform our everyday lives.
