Julia Streets
Julia Streets is a host, speaker, broadcaster and comedian.
As an entrepreneur, Julia is the founder & CEO of her own consultancy, Streets Consulting, providing business development, marketing and communications support for a wide range of domestic and international firms in the world of Fintech. She and her team work with stock exchanges, brokerage and investment firms, payment providers, technology firms working with specialists including blockchain, artificial intelligence, cyber and more. Julia is invited to MC, host and chair leading industry events and conferences around the world adding both insight and flair to the debate about changing industry dynamics, innovation, technology, skills and talent.
As a senior industry executive, prior to founding Streets Consulting in 2008 Julia was global head of communications at Atos Euronext Market Solutions (the technology business of the NYSE Euronext), serving on the Executive Committee and was European head of marketing and sales development at the global brokerage firm, Instinet.
In 2017, Julia launched a podcast series ‘DiverCity Podcast’, talking diversity and inclusion in financial services. On each episode, Julia interviews industry luminaries to shine a light on progress, call out areas requiring further focus and offer insights and best practice to help listeners drive change. Brummell Magazine, known as the ‘City’s little black book’, has recognised Julia a number of times. In 2017 as one of their 30 Inspirational Women Influencers, in 2014 as one of 30 Inspirational Women Entrepreneurs and in 2013, one of 30 Inspirational Women on Boards. She is one of SWIFT’s Global Power Women in FinTech and been listed in Innovate Finance’s Women in FinTech Power List for the past three years. In 2018 she was a finalist in ‘Influential Women’ category in the charity Variety’s ‘Catherine Awards’ championing leading women.
Julia is the author of ‘The Lingua Franca of the Corporate Banker’, lampooning corporate jargon. She is called upon to host and MC many public and industry events, is an after-dinner speaker, gala dinner and awards host and stand-up comedian. She is a regular guest on BBC Radio Kent’s evening show, billed as their ‘Kindness Champion’.
Julia is proud to serve as a trustee of the charity ‘Street Child’ and is a Fellow of the British American Project, the transatlantic leadership fellowship.
