Originally born and bred in London, Lesley relocated to the West Dorset Area to expand her career as a chef. Inspired by the excellent, fresh local produce close by, Lesley thrived in her cooking and recipe creations. Lesley is known to enjoy cooking seasonal foods with her simplistic, modern style, providing the perfect dishes that are easy to make for people to have a go at cooking on their own. With her passion for food and polished culinary skills, Lesley has authored a plethora of books, including New to Cooking: Simple Skills and Great Recipes for the First-time Cook and Deliciously Dairy Free: Fresh & Simple Lactose-free Recipes for Healthy Eating Every Day.

Devoted to teaching and sharing her knowledge and tips, Lesley opened the Lesley Waters Cookery School. Combing her energetic style of presenting dishes with simplistic guidance, Lesley’s cookery school creates winning recipes for entertaining classes. At her beautiful venue in Dorchester, Lesley offers hands-on day courses and cooking demonstration days to classes of different sizes and expertise. Lesley currently stars on This Morning regularly as a featured chef, cooking for a live audience as well as those at home. She has been a celebrity TV chef since 1989 and continues to amaze people with her culinary creations.
