NEW JOB OPENING: Experienced Talent Agent – Literary, Rights, Branding and Corporate Speaking

We are looking for an experienced agent, who has previously worked in an agency environment.

This role presents a rare and exciting opportunity to work with some of the worlds most iconic leaders, influencers, artists and experts. Working alongside our talent and our team in London, you will be developing opportunities to get their stories told along with building and maintaining their legacies.

Working closely with the Managing Directors of Kruger Cowne you will seek out and develop new business opportunities for Kruger Cowne’s distinguished portfolio of talent with particular focus on the Speaking, Literary, TV and Branding areas as well as other commercial opportunities. We are looking for an individual with at least two year’s experience in any of these areas.

Reporting to: Directors, Kruger Cowne

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working across Kruger Cowne’s vast roster to identify publishing, branding, TV/Film/Radio, public speaking and commercial opportunities
  • Building your own unique portfolio of customers and maintaining effective and positive relationships with them
  • Prepare pitches to a variety of different clients
  • Research specific markets for each Talent
  • Negotiate best-of-breed contracts with partners
  • Establish and build relationships with a variety of companies where partnerships may be possible
  • Manage brand roll-out for new and existing Talent
  • Processing Sales Order Forms
  • Regularly keeping in touch with Talent to communicate updates on opportunities and strategy
  • With the logistics team help manage the logistics of deals on both the client and customer side
  • Ensure that all contact information is registered into our bespoke database (clients, customers and events)
  • Regularly seeking new opportunities and finding new customers
  • Building your own unique portfolio of customers and maintaining effective and positive relationships with them
  • Taking part in briefing calls with Talent and Customers making sure that events, bookings and opportunities are communicated effectively between all parties
  • Attending events with Talent to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible and that the Talent are looked after every step of the way
  • Being a responsible, mature and trustworthy face of the Kruger Cowne brand throughout meetings, events and communications between Talent and customers.
  • Mentoring Junior agents coming into the industry
  • Helping to build an establish a strong team of agents across speaking, literary and rights sectors
  • Helping Directors to set targets and KPIs for junior staff members

Qualities Required:

  • Leadership skills and experience: knowing how to manage junior staff members and being responsible for the overall success of a small team.
  • Self Starter: High degree of personal motivation and ‘push’
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: A strong communicator able to influence people at all levels within organisations. Team player essential
  • Strong presentation: commanding presence and excellent presentation skills
  • Able to sell ideas and concepts to businesses
  • Excellent ability to generate sales on the telephone, email and in face-to-face meetings
  • Computer literate: able to function on a self-sufficient basis in Microsoft Office
  • Used to working with CRM and Database systems
  • Strong Time Management: able to manage many priorities and to use time effectively to achieve goals
