The British-Ghanaian has become a household name in the world of wildlife documentaries and is most well-known for hosting the primetime network series, Super Senses: The Secret Power of Animals (BBC Two), Big Beasts: The Last of the Giants (Sky Nature) and Evolve (Curiosity Stream/Prime Video). His brand-new YouTube channel Ingenious Ideas is set to launch in the summer of 2023.
Patrick’s passion for science and the natural world developed in his early childhood, which was marked by a series of revelations and adversities. These experiences have since become a driving force behind his desire to help & inspire others on their own personal journeys.
In 2021, he released his debut book ‘30 Animals That Made Us Smarter’. Based on his hit BBC podcast, the book explores how animals evolved their incredible abilities over millions of years to better adapt to their harsh environments. Incredibly these adaptations are today inspiring us to create brand-new technological advances, that might just save the planet.
Patrick’s creative works are a testament to his commitment to educating & entertaining people about the inner workings of our universe, and how we can learn from it. As one of the first black British African wildlife TV presenters to feature as a series lead with broadcasters BBC and Sky TV, Patrick’s story is one of always backing yourself and having an unwavering belief in your vision. Despite numerous successes in media, Patrick believes that “TV is just the tip of the iceberg.”
His experiences filming in the wild, and breath-taking animal encounters, makes Patrick a fascinating storyteller whose shows continue to inspire millions of people around the world. He is a true role model, who demonstrates the power of perseverance and who’s work serves to inspire future generations.
